Frequently Asked Questions
Everything you need to know about BlinkFund and Solana crowdfunding.
What is BlinkFund?
BlinkFund is a Solana-based crowdfunding platform that lets creators run fundraising campaigns shareable via Solana Blinks on Twitter/X. Donors can contribute SOL directly from their wallet without leaving their feed.
What are Solana Blinks?
Blinks (Blockchain Links) are interactive links that render as rich cards in Twitter/X feeds when you have a compatible wallet extension like Phantom or Backpack. They allow one-click transactions directly from social media.
How much does BlinkFund charge?
BlinkFund charges a flat 2% platform fee on each donation. There are no signup fees, monthly fees, or per-transaction fixed costs. This makes it especially affordable for small donations compared to traditional platforms.
How do I create a campaign?
Visit the Create page, connect your Solana wallet, sign a verification message to prove ownership, then enter your campaign details (title, description, goal, deadline). Your campaign will generate a shareable Blink URL instantly.
How do donations work?
When someone donates through a Blink or campaign page, the funds are split between the creator's wallet (98%) and the platform fee (2%) in a single Solana transaction. Funds arrive in the creator's wallet instantly — no waiting for payouts.
Is BlinkFund custodial?
No. BlinkFund is non-custodial. We never hold your funds. Donations transfer directly from the donor's wallet to the creator's wallet via the Solana blockchain. The platform only facilitates the transaction.
Which wallets are supported?
BlinkFund works with any Solana wallet that supports Solana Actions, including Phantom, Backpack, Solflare, and other compatible wallet extensions.
Can I cancel or pause my campaign?
Yes. Campaign creators can pause, resume, or cancel their campaigns from the Dashboard at any time. Pausing temporarily stops accepting new donations, while cancelling permanently ends the campaign.
How do I verify my wallet?
During campaign creation, you'll sign a challenge message with your wallet. This proves you own the receiving address without sharing any private keys. The verification lasts for 30 days.
What happens when a campaign reaches its goal?
When a campaign reaches its funding goal, it's automatically marked as completed. All previously received donations are already in the creator's wallet — there's no separate payout process.
